What is a Clinical Trial?

Clinical Trials

Researchers are looking for new and improved drugs and treatments for Glycogen Storage Disease.

Currently there are/or have recently been, trials for drugs to GSD1, GSD2 (Pompe), GSD3 (Cori’s) and GSD5 (McArdle’s).

Some of our members are being asked to join in clinical trials to test these new medicines and potential solutions.

We have provided a link to “Clinical Trials. An easy-read guide” written by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The NIHR works with the NHS to try to find new treatments and ways to care for people.

Visit the link below to see the guide.
