Village Art Trail
Over the weekend of 28-30th June, the Hampshire village of Buriton, home of Charity Director Allan Muir and his wife Barbara, held its annual art-trail. This was an opportunity for local amateur and professional artists to showcase their talents from simple wood carvings to fine art.
Guest Speaker, George Hardie, spoke of his personal history in graphic design during a taster event on the Friday evening. George designed the cover for Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” record album.
Long-standing support
Many Buriton residents have supported AGSD-UK for many years and the Art-Trail organisers ask Allan and Barbara to provide refreshments.
On Friday evening they ran a small bar and throughout the weekend they ran the “RT Café”; Barbara and a team of local volunteer helpers provided cakes and refreshments to visitors.
Huge success
The weekend was hugely successful and overall raised an amazing £400 for AGSD-UK.
