The 2019 conference went very well… see reports in “Glisten”.
Our annual conference this year is to be held in October at the Daresbury Park Hotel, Cheshire (20 minutes from Manchester Airport).
A great opportunity to meet others affected by GSD, learn about your condition, hear from clinicians and researchers, contribute to the future direction of your support group, and have a sociable weekend.
Here are the final details of the conference for delegates. Please download your required PDFs.
Many thanks to all our conference sponsors.
Conference fees reduced for this year
Daresbury Park Hotel is a much more affordable conference venue and we are happy to pass the cost savings on to delegates.
The residential package will cost just £70 for an individual and £110 for a couple. The price includes overnight accommodation on Saturday 5 October, together with lunches and all refreshments on Saturday and Sunday.
LATE BOOKINGS
Routine bookings have now closed, however:
- We can still accommodate day delegates without difficulty. Please telephone Jane Lewthwaite on 07484 055334.
- Residential packages may still be available, but please enquire with Jane as soon as possible.
Accommodation
Bedrooms can accommodate two adults and one child, so we may need to make special arrangements when more than one child is attending.
Visit the Daresbury Park Hotel web site.
Meditation
During the Sunday morning workshops there will be a parallel meditation session with a professional trainer, held in a separate room for a small group. The session will be held twice during the morning.
Creche
Throughout the conference we will again be joined by the Bulwell Toy Library to provide free and experienced childcare.
Children’s Disco and Dinner
Also planned for Saturday is a Children’s Hat Parade and Disco, followed by Dinner.
Further information
Information about travel directions will be updated here in due course.
If you prefer a paper booking form please contact the AGSD-UK Office.
Conference programme
Because Daresbury is the birthplace of Lewis Carroll (Charles Dodgson), we hope to lift the proceedings a little by creating a wonderland of GSD workshops; we also expect to organise a Hatter’s Tea-Party and fun hat-making activities for the children; so please dress your little ones accordingly!
